How in-home physical therapy works

From your first call to your home exercise plan, here's exactly what to expect.

Four steps from request to recovery plan

  1. Request a visit

Use our short booking form or call (833) 386-9231. Tell us what you need help with, your ZIP code and a preferred day.

  2. Talk with a care coordinator

We call you back, usually within one business day, to answer questions, explain pricing and payment, and check whether a doctor's referral is needed in your state.

  3. Meet your therapist at home

A physical therapist licensed in your state arrives at the confirmed time. The first visit includes a full evaluation of your movement, strength and goals.

  4. Follow your plan

Each 45-minute session builds on the last. Between visits you'll have a simple home exercise plan written for your space and your abilities.

40–45 minutes

Your plan until next time

A short, written home exercise plan you can follow safely, plus a time for your next visit.

How to prepare

  • Clear a space about the size of a yoga mat
  • Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, and supportive shoes
  • Have a list of your medications and any recent surgery notes or discharge papers
  • Keep a photo ID handy, especially if you're claiming the free sessions for 65+
  • Invite a family member or caregiver if you'd like them to learn the exercises too

What your therapist brings

  • Portable equipment such as resistance bands, light weights and balance aids, as needed
  • Tools to measure range of motion, strength and balance
  • A written or printed home exercise plan
  • Practical advice on making your home safer to move around

Your therapist will show identification when they arrive. If anything feels off, call us at (833) 386-9231 before opening the door.
